0We are currently looking to add a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to our Operations team in St. Cloud, MN. This position provides technical and people leadership for our Manufacturing Engineering function, driving process capability, equipment reliability, capacity planning, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. You'll partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Facilities, and R&D to optimize manufacturing performance while supporting long-term growth in an FDA and ISO-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Manufacturing Engineering team by providing technical direction, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes through process improvement, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, continuation engineering, and automation initiatives.
  • Drive equipment reliability, process validation, qualification activities, and manufacturing change management to improve operational performance.
  • Lead manufacturing capacity planning and support capital projects, manufacturing readiness, facility infrastructure improvements, and future expansion initiatives.
  • Establish department goals, resource plans, and operational priorities that align with business strategy and manufacturing objectives.
  • Partner with Quality to support investigations, CAPAs, change controls, validation activities, and compliance with FDA and ISO quality systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Facilities, Quality, and R&D to improve manufacturing performance and support new product introductions.
  • Leverage operational metrics and engineering data to drive continuous improvement, reduce risk, and support strategic decision-making.

Technical & Professional Skills
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering, process optimization, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working with manufacturing systems, engineering data, and operational performance metrics.

  • Communicates effectively with technical teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and organizational leadership.

  • Uses data-driven decision making to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and improve manufacturing performance.
  • Balances strategic planning with hands-on leadership to achieve operational goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) required.
  • Seven or more years of manufacturing engineering, operations engineering, or continuous improvement experience required.
  • Experience supporting capital equipment, process optimization, manufacturing scale-up, and operational improvement initiatives required.
  • Leadership experience in manufacturing engineering and experience within FDA and/or ISO-regulated environments preferred.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred.
