Position Summary
The Microbiologist II will provide support to the Quality Control Microbiology Laboratory. The Microbiologist II will work closely with the Microbiologist I and II personnel.

The Microbiologist II will provide support to the Quality Control Microbiology Laboratory. The Microbiologist II will work closely with the Microbiologist I and II personnel.
Job Responsibilities
- Effectively follow SOPs and company policies
- Perform various product and /or process testing for control and assurance of quality products including but not limited to testing for presence of endotoxin, sterility testing bioburden testing on environmental and product samples.
- Microbial Identification
- Conduct routine environmental monitoring, including but not limited to surface, active air, passive air, water for injection, and personnel.
- Capture, record, analyze, and archive raw data
- Assist in trending of data
- Perform OOT and OOS investigations
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems
- Review data obtained for compliance to specifications and reports abnormalities
- Apply knowledge of good manufacturing practices and good laboratory practices on a daily basis
- Assist in training and direction of Microbiologist I.
- Perform duties and responsibilities as requested by Microbiologists III and Manager of Microbiology.
- This position may be involved with the transportation and handling of hazardous waste.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required; in microbiology preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 3 years in a scientific lab setting preferred (includes educational, research, or qc labs)
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques
- Knowledge of how to maintain an aseptic environment
- Knowledge of cGMP
- Experience in activities pertaining to aseptic manufacturing
- Ability to multi-task; work under pressure and time constraints
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes in task priority
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work positively and collaboratively a MUST
