Job Description

Albemarle is hiring for a Technical Advisor. This position is on-site and located in Silver Peak, NV. The role will have split responsibilities in both an office setting and in the manufacturing plant.

What You Will Do
  • Monitor process and equipment conditions and troubleshoot upsets.
  • Help optimize process to maximize OEE
  • Provide technical reports to Production Supervisor
  • Define, measure, and maintain KPI's
  • Coordinate maintenance activities and schedule
  • Develop and lead operator training sessions
  • Assist other departments (engineering, safety, maintenance, etc.) as directed
  • Write energy isolation plans for LOTO
  • Uphold all applicable safety standards
  • Developing and execute small to moderate scale continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide coverage for operators on a limited frequency
  • Lead incident investigations
  • Participate in Emergency Response Team and meet associated physical requirements.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs, walk, climb stairs, use hands, sight, touch, hear, speak, smell, climb ladders, and balance on uneven ground
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years' experience in a manufacturing plant. Combination of experience and education may be accepted.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and general PSM
  • Able to troubleshoot chemical process equipment and systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read P&ID's and other technical drawings to locate equipment in the field
  • Able to support business needs outside of normal business hours on occasions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Preferred:
  • Associates or Bachelors degree.
  • Experience in a chemical plant, specifically operations, maintenance, engineering, or safety.
  • Experience with SAP and other computer proficiencies.
  • Leadership experience
