Your role
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of seasoning developers to establish a best in class seasoning creation team. Evaluate and validate seasoning blends in specific applications in accordance with customer processing parameters, with a strong focus on formula cost optimization. Provide technical assistance and seasoning development expertise to strategic customers. Develop technical to technical contact and participate in customer calls and technical presentations. Establish a service innovation mechanism to provide seasoning functionality testing and shelf-life testing against key customers and projects. Manage a technical team of seasoning developers to create both savory and sweet forward seasoning blends. Provide overall support to the savory technical team.
About you
• Bachelor's degree in food science, food engineering, or a related field and ten years of experience in a seasoning development role.
• Experience managing and supervising team members for daily operations and project execution.
• Knowledge of FDA and USDA labeling guidelines for seasonings.
• Experience with application technologies in the Savory category.
• Experience with product and process development including formulation, testing, and scale-up.
• Experience with developing commercially viable seasonings that meet customer requirements relative to profile, performance, ingredient restrictions and cost.
• Proficiency in project management systems and formula management systems.
• 15% domestic travel, 5% international travel.

Salary: $130,000.00 to $170,000.00 per year

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The expected annual salary range for this position is $130,000 USD - $170,000 USD pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.
