The Role

The Regional Senior Vice President (RSVP) leads operational and strategic activities for a designated region within The US Oncology Network (USON), with P&L responsibility. This role drives business growth, ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and fosters a culture of engagement and trust among employees and physicians. Reporting to the SVP/GM, Network Operations, the RSVP is accountable for achieving financial and operational goals, supporting long-term regional success, and building collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate ongoing engagement with practice physician leaders and shareholders, advocating for both the practice and McKesson/USON leadership.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic and financial plans to achieve organizational goals, including growth, efficiency, cost management, capital deployment, revenue cycle management, and quality care.
  • Direct and develop executive directors, ensuring accountability for operational, financial, and people outcomes across the region.
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate progress against goals, collaborating closely with regional finance directors and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
  • Navigate and resolve complex, high-impact, or controversial situations, leveraging influence and negotiation skills to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization.
  • Oversee integration efforts for new physician affiliations, service expansions, and technology adoption (e.g., EMR, practice management platforms).
  • Coordinate with managed care and payer teams to secure optimal agreements and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements and government regulations, proactively managing risk and compliance through participation in quality programs.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

Minimum 15 years of progressive healthcare management and operations experience, including at least 10 years in diversified leadership roles managing large, multi-disciplinary teams and first-level directors/managers across multiple geographies.

Critical Skills
  • Demonstrated P&L or senior leadership experience with a record of positive results.
  • Strategic thinking, financial acumen, and ability to drive change.
  • Demonstrated fluency in using enterprise and market data, analytics, and performance dashboards to guide strategic and operational decisions; ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations for action.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills across all organizational levels.

Additional Knowledge and Skills
  • Prior experience in cancer care, hospital administration, or multi-site healthcare (e.g., renal care, outpatient surgery, multi-specialty care).
  • Experience working directly with physicians and building collaborative relationships.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience building and retaining high-performing teams in dynamic environments.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (BA/BS required).
  • Advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

$181,100 - $301,900
