Job Description

Revolution Medicines is seeking an individual with a strong background in rodent laboratory animal research. The position will receive study designs from scientists and execute the in vivo pharmacology studies on mice with high independence, excellent communication, and coordination with the team. The position will also support facility management of the Vivarium.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, conduct, analyze, and report in vivo studies (efficacy, PK/PD).
  • Carry out pre-clinical model development and characterization.
  • Conduct standard vivarium operations-managing inventory/supplies, maintain laboratory equipment, and record keeping.
  • Help with continuing improvement of current SOPS and ensure that the appropriate SOPs are followed by all Vivarium users.
  • Support adherence to animal welfare guidelines and regulations.
  • Learn and conduct other in vivo related techniques.
  • Interface with cross-functional project team members, and participation in and presentation at project team meetings and cross-departmental team meetings.
  • Formulate and administer drugs and experimental compounds by various routes.
  • Occasional husbandry and facility cleaning.
  • Troubleshooting issues with the facility, animal welfare, or executing in vivo procedures.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • BS or MS in Biology or Pharmacology related discipline (or 5 - 8 years of relevant experience).
  • Research experience with mouse models of cancer and/or cancer immunotherapy.
  • Proficiency with various mouse handling techniques including dosing (IV, PO, SC, IP), tumor inoculation/measurements, in life and terminal blood collection, survival surgeries, and handling of tissues during necropsy and processing for ex vivo analysis.
  • Computer literacy, especially proficiency with GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with in vivo imaging and Studylog will be a plus.

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Experience with sterile tissue culture, molecular and basic cellular biology techniques such as ELISA, FACS WESTERN BLOT, and qPCR preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • The ability to work independently on day-to-day responsibilities and research goals.

The expected salary range for this role is $95,000 to $120,000. An individual’s position within the range may be influenced by multiple factors, including skills and experience in role, overall performance, individual impact and contributions, tenure, and market dynamics.
