We are seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join us at our US Headquarters located in Charlotte, NC. This is a onsite position.

Role Overview:
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of goods, materials, and information across the supply chain. This role ensures product availability while minimizing costs and maintaining efficient inventory levels. The planner collaborates with procurement, production, logistics, and sales teams to align supply with demand.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Biotage supply chain organization in Sweden, UK and Japan to coordinate internal transfers/purchases between US and other distribution centers.
  • Develop and maintain supply and demand plans to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Purchase and expedite material from internal and external suppliers.
  • Review and analyze bi-monthly sea-freight orders to maximize freight savings.
  • Analyze forecasts, sales trends, and historical data to improve planning accuracy.
  • Coordinate with internal and external suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of material.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce excess and shortages.
  • Identify and resolve supply chain disruptions or bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, finance) to align plans
  • Compile Supply Chain key performance indicators (KPI) reports including on-time delivery, SPE Dynamic Demand, Min/max review, order volume and others.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain process
  • Utilize ERP and planning systems to manage data and reporting.
  • Support the Charlotte warehouse as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Minimal overnight travel anticipated. Potential for site visits to internal and external vendors. Occasional overnight travel of approximately 2-3 times per year for a full week or less duration. Some international travel possible.

    Skill Requirements/Education/Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or inventory management.
  • Proficiency in Excel and supply chain/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, D365)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Prior experience working within a continuous improvement environment. Demonstrated successful leadership of process improvement initiatives a strong plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) a plus
