Warehouse Associate: First Shift 7:30am – 4:00pm Mon-Fri
London, Connecticut, United States
Job Description
How you can make an impact
What sets you apart
What we offer
- Support accurate inbound processing by comparing packing slips of incoming shipments with bills of lading, invoices and orders, and maintaining files on purchase orders and packing slips.
- Use SAP WMS (after training) and related systems to enter records, perform receipts and create production bundles, including inventory transactions, label creation, assembly and moving finished bundles into stock.
- Ensure inventory integrity by identifying product or inventory discrepancies, processing returns, inspecting materials against finished-goods standards and correctly barcode-labeling all products going into stock.
- Navigate the warehouse efficiently using the bin sequence strategy and RF scanning to pick, store and locate materials, and perform physical inventory counts to meet company standards.
- Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks and hand trucks safely to load/unload trucks and move products between warehouse, shipping/receiving and storage areas.
- Prepare outbound shipments by examining stock, packaging products with appropriate materials and skids, affixing accurate shipping labels and sorting parcels by destination (including separating dealer orders for weekly pick-up).
- Help ensure orders leave right the first time by checking that product, quantities and addresses meet specifications and documenting any issues for follow-up.
What sets you apart
- Bringing a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related warehouse, shipping/receiving or material-handling experience - or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Comfortable using computers and ready to learn SAP WMS and related systems to process receipts, transfers and production bundles.
- Good understanding (or the ability to quickly learn) warehouse layout, bin logic and picking strategies, allowing you to move efficiently and accurately through the warehouse.
- Strong attention to detail when checking incoming and outgoing shipments, labeling products and counting inventory.
- Ability to safely operate pallet jacks, lift trucks and other material-handling equipment in a busy warehouse environment.
- Reliable, team-oriented working style: you follow procedures, communicate clearly and support colleagues to keep operations running smoothly.
- Commitment to safety, quality and accuracy in everything you do.
What we offer
- We value your contribution. An hourly wage of $20.00 reflects your role in keeping our warehouse and shipments running reliably.
- Comprehensive benefits. A competitive total rewards package, including health, financial and education benefits, supports you in different stages of life.
- Innovative, collaborative culture. You join a team environment where colleagues work together, share knowledge and continuously improve how we operate.
- Purpose and impact. Your work helps ensure that high-quality life science products reach customers who use them to improve the human living condition.
