Operation and Testing • Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the wastewater treatment facility and its processes • Perform periodic checks of the wastewater treatment process and associated equipment and take immediate corrective actions if necessary • Operate all process and material handling equipment • Maintain open communication with the Operator of Record regarding the treatment process operations and malfunctions • Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process and sludge management • Perform repairs (as needed/as skill level allows) or assist Maintenance Department with repairs or preventative maintenance • Respond to site emergencies such as spills and process malfunction as needed • Provide recommendations for preventive maintenance and continuous improvements • Perform all work in conformance to Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) regulations. Documentation and Record Keeping • Record process readings and operational data in the wastewater logbook and/or appropriate forms • Ensure all compliance records and documents are kept up to date
