Wendy Cheung is a veteran in the pharmaceutical industry and an experienced female leader. She is a serial launcher, a strategic connector and a solution architect. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Cheung has built and led teams to launch 9 new medicines in oncology and other therapeutic areas, including diabetes, pain management and gastroenterology.
Her breadth and depth in the industry across verticals, along with her strategic thinking and ability to rally diverse internal and external clinical stakeholders, have enabled Wendy to mobilize teams, solve challenges at hand, build processes to enable change and most importantly, translate science to clinically impactful outcomes for patients worldwide.
Currently, Wendy serves as the Global Head of Oncology Strategy, New Product Planning and Operations at Sanofi, and has held this role since 2021. Prior to joining Sanofi, Wendy has held several leadership roles, including Global Head of Commercial for Enhertu, beyond Breast Cancer; and Global Medicines Leader for Established Oncology and Global Commercial Lead for Imfinzi at AstraZeneca. Wendy holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Toronto and a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Colorado.
She is a passionate leader committed to catalyzing transformation and accelerating innovation through thoughtful partnerships to bring novel medicines to patients.
