This challenge is compounded by the fact that the inclusion of accessibility considerations in the design of trials can be complex, given the array of factors such as location, transportation and language barriers that may limit participation and skew results. In addition, a persistent challenge for clinical trial teams is to balance the need for informed consent with addressing potential coercion and ensuring cultural sensitivity.
