Ilka Reineman joined LabConnect early 2023 to build the Business Development Team responsible for EMEA. Her career path crossed different types of industries that developed her all-round and cross functional mindset with an outstanding business acumen. In the years before joining LabConnect she was responsible for the financial and commercial set-up of a start-up unit within Centrient Pharmaceuticals that grew out to be an established scale-up with profitable business by the time she left the company. Her passion is building teams and solving issues in a pragmatic way. Ilka holds a master’s degree in business economics from the University of Groningen and an Executive Master of Finance & Control from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
Dr. Christopher Stocking, Clinical Laboratory Manager Berlin, SGS Analytics Germany GmbH
Christopher Stocking has more than 30 years’ experience working in analytical laboratories, his background is in diagnostic pathology where he spent 17 years working for the UK’s National Health Service, and for the last 15 years he has been providing analytical support for clinical trials. A core part of his work is establishing and validating Pharmacodynamic Assays, taking existing in-vitro diagnostic methods and modifying them to fulfil the requirements of the ICH M10.
Dr. Bernhard Schnurr, Site manager Birsfelden, SGS Analytics Switzerland AG
Dr. Bernhard Schnurr has more than 30 years’ experience in providing analytical services to the pharmaceutical industry. He started his career in the field of drug discovery, from target identification to optimized leads, what includes target production, assay development, High Throughput Screening, and establishment of automation systems. The last 17 years he managed companies/affiliates providing services in bioanalysis for clinical development (PK/PD testing) and analytical services for drug development (characterization, QC analytics, release and stability testing).
Kai Wiemer, Senior Director Biospecimen, LabConnect
Kai Wiemer has more than 15 years of biorepository and biospecimen experience. In the different roles he was responsible for managing sites, developing and improving workflows, EU processes and SOPs and hosted 100+ audits. He brings a deep understanding of sample management in relation to international Phase I-IV trials. He is passionate about setting up processes and continues improvement in a pragmatic and target oriented way.
Kai joined LabConnect early 2023 and is responsible for the setup and overseeing all sample management and storage activities and facilities in the EMEA region.
He earned a master’s degree in biology, and his major field of study was molecular biology, biochemistry, and virology from the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart in Germany.
