Job Description

Job Purpose: The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for all aspects of material control in support of both R&D and manufacturing operation. This includes incoming material receiving process, material handling, inventory control, coordination of outbound shipments and collaboration with internal and external partners for customs clearance.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs all activities associated with the physical receipt of incoming materials including paperwork verification / reconciliation, inspection for incoming damage, transferring materials to plastic skids, delivery / storage of materials in designated inventory locations with proper storage environment, etc.
  • Receives both raw materials and finished good product from the Manufacturing operations and verifies material tracking forms are complete and receives material into inventory locations
  • Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
  • Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.
  • Knowledge of processes to ensure CGMP compliance including documentation procedures
  • Follows applicable SOPs to perform assigned duties and tasks
  • Ships both samples and finished products from laboratories and manufacturing
  • Picking and staging of raw material and packaging components per manufacturing
  • Assists with cycle counts and end-of-year physical inventory
  • Manage expired materials
  • Identifies and handles hazardous materials and controlled substances
  • Trained to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as necessary to transport material for the site. Performs normal routine maintenance/completes checklist as required to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED with three years' experience
  • ERP experience required
  • Prior pharmaceutical or CDMO experience preferred
  • Forklift certification required
