Several companies on the list are advancing AI-enabled technologies, such as digital pathology systems, glucose monitoring tools and remote care platforms.

Medtech companies sit at the intersection of healthcare delivery, diagnostics and device innovation. The sector includes manufacturers of medical equipment and supplies as well as related areas such as electromedical instruments, diagnostic technologies and healthcare distribution services.

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics projections show employment in medical equipment and supplies manufacturing increasing from about 329,700 workers to roughly 345,500 over the next decade. 

Forbes and Statista’s latest rankings on the “America’s Best Large Employers 2026” list, highlight the top medtech companies to work for, based on survey responses from employees across large US employers. The list includes device makers, diagnostics companies and healthcare service providers involved in delivering medical technologies and clinical support.

Boston Scientific (Rank 19)

Boston Scientific develops medical devices used in cardiovascular, endoscopy, urology and neuromodulation procedures. The company’s Farapoint pulsed field ablation catheter is FDA-approved to treat atrial fibrillation. The catheter can create both focal and linear lesions within a single device designed for cardiac ablation procedures.

IDEXX Laboratories (Rank 49)

IDEXX Laboratories develops diagnostic instruments, tests and software used in veterinary medicine and water quality testing. Last year, IDEXX expanded placements of its inVue Dx diagnostic analyzer, installing more than 1,900 instruments installed during the fourth quarter. The analyzer is designed to help veterinary clinics run diagnostic tests directly in the clinic, supporting faster results for companion animal care.
