Leigh Householder, EVP / Managing Director, Technology and Data Science, Syneos Health
Leigh Householder is a founding leader of the Technology and Data Science team at Syneos Health. There, she works closely with innovative life science companies to define how novel data and AI-enablement can speed the development and commercialization of meaningful medicines. In her role, Leigh focuses on performance, identifying specific strategies and tactics that can address business-critical challenges with greater precision, efficiency and effectiveness. Leigh is obsessed with what people do (data) and why they do it (behavioral psychology) in equal measure. She integrates the two to make technology excellence accessible to healthcare organizations.
Leigh is an author of Why We Resist, a powerful perspective on the underlying human truths that reveal why people and professionals reject healthcare change. She brings that critical understanding of behavioral science to each project to deliver solutions that increase motivation to change and resilience to stick with it.
Leigh began her career creating digital, social and loyalty strategies for Fortune 1000 brands. Ten years ago, she made the move to healthcare and never looked back. Leigh was a strategic lead on one of medicine’s biggest launches and has been an important partner to brands working to improve the lives of people fighting both chronic and acute diseases. Today, she invests a lot of her time engaging people who work on the frontlines of healthcare around the world to both understand and prioritize the shifts changing the industry and the world.
