Dynamic Cannabis LC-MS/MS Pesticide Solutions Through Complimentary Chromatography & Ionization Platforms

  • Thursday, July 18, 2019

Pesticide testing is an important part of manufacturing edible and pharmacologic cannabis products, but can be particularly challenging due to the unique oily nature of the cannabis flower matrix and continuously changing regulatory requirements in different regions. Two Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry/Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) approaches use complimentary column chemistries with different workflows: electrospray ionization-focused and atmospheric-pressure chemical ionization (APCI)-focused. When applied to the California Pesticides and Canada Pesticides lists, these flexible approaches can help to rapidly update methods when additional pesticides get added and detection sensitivity requirements are made more stringent.

In this free webinar, attendees will learn about:

  • Comprehensive LC-MS/MS coverage of polar and non-polar pesticides in a standard 15-minute gradient and a short 6-minute gradient
  • Explore chromatography and sample preparation options from flower, concentrate, oil, and edible matrices
  • Chromatographic gradients for Electrospray heavy workflows and APCI heavy workflows
  • Simple but effective sample preparation approach through a solvent extraction and winterization
