As stakeholders increasingly seek more robust evidence from registries and observational studies, researchers must adopt innovative methods for generating data. Previously restricted by outdated study models, evidence generation can now be more efficient and flexible through the use of cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence. New technology-driven methods frees life science companies from historical constraints, enabling a deeper understanding of the course of disease, drug effectiveness, safety, and quality of life (QoL).
Join us in this webinar to explore how innovation in study methods and technology not only address the mounting demands for evidence generation but also pave the way for achieving scientific relevance and operational efficiency for observational research.
Register for this webinar today to gain insights into how AI is revolutionizing registries and observational research.
Speakers
Vitaly Doban, VP, Head of Data & Insights Generation, Ipsen
Vitaly Doban is currently leading the Data and Insights Generation & Strategy team within Global Medical Affairs at Ipsen. Since joining Ipsen in 2021, Vitaly set up the Epi/RWE and the Medical Data Sciences & AI teams that led to significant acceleration of evidence generation activities and a marked improvement in patient-focused analytics capabilities. Vitaly is also responsible for the medical digital strategy and for developing data- and AI-enabled approaches that advance clinicians’ understanding of diseases, patient journeys and what drives treatment outcomes.
Prior to Ipsen, Vitaly was with Novartis Oncology, where he built the RWE Analytics team and was responsible for evidence generation across product life-cycle and across the entire oncology portfolio.
Vitaly started his pharma career with Pfizer, where he spent over 12 years, and was initially responsible for building data and analytics capabilities of the commercial organization and then developing real-world data and analytics capabilities for the first RWE team in pharma.
Vitaly started his professional career in tech startups, where he led software engineering teams responsible for implementation of data management and analytics solutions for the financial industry.
Dr. Dan Drozd, Chief Medical Officer, PicnicHealth
Dr. Dan Drozd, MD, MSc is the Chief Medical Officer at PicnicHealth. Prior to joining PicnicHealth, he was on the faculty at the University of Washington in the Department of Allergy & Infectious Diseases where he led research into the use of electronic health record data to power observational research and enhance the understanding of the chronic burden of HIV infection.
At PicnicHealth, he oversees scientific collaborations with PicnicHealth’s industry and academic partners and works extensively with both the product and commercial teams. Prior to attending medical school, he worked for numerous technology start-ups as an engineer and at the University of Washington in the Clinical Informatics Research Group where he led the development of a large EHR data integration platform used to power HIV real-world research.
Dr. Drozd attended medical school on a infectious disease fellowship, completed a Master’s in Epidemiology with a focus on Clinical Research at the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. He is an expert in clinical informatics and digital health and has over 50 publications and presentations at conferences focusing on novel uses of real-world data across a variety of conditions.
