Caprice Sassano, MPH, Senior Outcomes Researcher, ICON

Caprice Sassano brings over a decade of experience in clinical research and has spent the last four years building the Atlas Network and working closely with pharma customers to implement digital health technologies into clinical trials. As a Senior Outcomes Researcher, Caprice supports protocol review to aid in the confident deployment of digital measures and technologies and vendor strategies, with a focus on providing insights from published evidence, clinical trial data and regulatory information.

Joining ICON by way of acquisition of the start-up HumanFirst, where she led the Applied Sciences team, her experience working closely with product, engineering and customer experience helped to build Atlas, the largest and most comprehensive network of DHTs and the evidence that support their use in clinical populations. Passionate about improving patient lives and measurement science, Caprice blends her background in public health epidemiology with her practical trial experience in an effort to create more inclusive, diverse and efficient trials.

Keith Thomas, Senior Director, Patient Centred Sciences, ICON

Keith Thomas is a Senior Director on ICON’s Patient Centred Sciences team. In this role, Keith combines a deep technical understanding of DHTs with extensive experience in how they are deployed and used by patients to inform ICON’s overall DHT strategy and help clients design successful DHT implementations for their studies.

Prior to joining ICON, he held a variety of engineering roles related to the design and development of medical devices and Digital Health Technologies, as well as multiple different product and program management positions focused on the evaluation, integration and deployment of DHTs in healthcare and research settings.
