Laura Heyduk is the Vice President and Head of Global Compliance at KalVista Pharmaceuticals, where she leads the company’s global compliance and ethics strategy. She has more than 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry, with deep expertise in US and international healthcare compliance, risk management and compliance program design.
Prior to joining KalVista, Laura spent six years at Biogen in senior leadership roles, including Head of US Compliance and Global Compliance Strategy Lead, advising executive leadership on complex, global initiatives. She also held compliance leadership roles at Insulet and Shire. Laura began her career in the pharmaceutical industry in clinical and medical affairs, initially supporting and later overseeing operations, which gives her a unique, end‑to‑end perspective on compliance risk across the product lifecycle.
Kirsten Duncan, PharmD, Vice President, Head of Medical Affairs, Nuvalent
Kirsten is an award-winning Medical Affairs Leader with more than 25 years of experience across biopharma, with a focus on oncology strategy and stakeholder engagement. Kirsten joined Nuvalent in 2024 and currently serves as the Vice President of Medical Affairs and is a member of the Leadership Team. Passionate about mentoring and inspiring others, Kirsten has served as a Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Leader and a TEDx speaker.
Prior to joining Nuvalent, Kirsten spent more than five years at Pfizer, most recently as the Director of Thoracic Oncology, where she led global medical affairs strategy across the lung cancer franchise. Prior to Pfizer, Kirsten served as the Director of Healthcare and Life Sciences at Arivale. Before that, she spent over six years at Percolation Communications, where she built a Medical Affairs department and led strategic consulting and communications initiatives supporting product launches and go-to-market strategies. Earlier in her career, Kirsten was the Founder and Principal at Duncan Communications, a strategic consulting firm focused on supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Kirsten earned her PharmD from the University of California, San Francisco.
