There is a need for durable, lightweight products in manufacturing design for drug delivery and other medical devices. The use of magnesium in injection molding has seen significant growth. In this webinar, Phillips-Medisize will walk attendees through their thixomolding process highlighting the benefits of magnesium, design considerations and tooling.
Magnesium thixomolding produces thinner, lighter and stronger parts than are possible with engineered plastics and die casting. In addition, the process is also more environmentally and worker-friendly.
The featured speaker will compare thixomolding and die casting and highlight key thixomolding case studies. Lastly, the speaker will give an overview of the Phillips-Medisize Magnesium Facility.
Register for this webinar to learn about the thixomolding process and the benefits of using magnesium in design considerations and tooling for various types of medical devices.
