Chips Ahoy! Cookies, Reese’s and Hershey’s are teaming up to make a brand-new sweet collaboration, making snacks happier together, as stated in their campaign. The new cookie mashup has chunks of Hershey’s Milk Chocolate in one product and Reese’s Pieces in another cookie mashup.

Chips Ahoy! “spokes-cookie,” Chip, is making a comeback, after six years of being in the dark, as he appears on television and other digital advertising to introduce the new flavors in an animated, loveable and comedic clip.

“Without a doubt, America’s favorite chocolate chip cookie is happier together with Hershey’s Milk Chocolate and mini Reese’s Pieces,” said Sabrina Sierant, associate director at Chips Ahoy! Mondelēz. “With Chips Ahoy!, we’re always looking for new delicious flavors to bring to life in a chocolate chip cookie that will provide consumers with the variety they crave in their sweet snacks.”

Chips Ahoy! Is targeting both chocolate chip Hershey’s chocolate lovers but also consumers that enjoy the sweet taste of peanut butter candy that can be found in Reese’s pieces.

According to Thrillist, Chips Ahoy! Cookies are ranked to be the 32nd best snacking food, with the top three snacking foods being, Doritos, Oreos and Pringles. What makes chocolate chip cookies so addictive? Well, CNN reported that because there is an emotional attachment to the memories that cookies bring to a person, combining memories with happiness makes cookies a joyous snack to consume. Furthermore, various ingredients such as sugar, combined with the texture and the flavor add to cookies’ addictive characteristics.

The campaign is called Happier Together, bringing together three popular flavors and making sure “nothing can stand in their way. Frowns get flipped. Meh moves out of town. And life just seems a little more joyous.”

The cookies are available on shelves at major retailers nationwide with a suggested price of $2.95.
