Dr. Frederick Derosier has 10 years of clinical practice and more than 22 years of clinical development experience in the pharmaceutical industry, focused in neurosciences and rare diseases, across large/mid-sized pharma and biotechs. Dr. Derosier’s experience broadly extends from translational/early phase development through product launch to late phase/post-marketing studies and lifecycle management and encompasses a wide array of therapeutic platforms. He joined Fortrea in 2017 and provides medical/scientific leadership for clinical development programs involving rare diseases and/or advanced therapeutics.
Dr. Brian Hamilton, MD, PhD, Senior Medical Director, Fortrea
Dr. Brian Hamilton is Senior Medical Director for Fortrea, based in Newton, Massachusetts. He serves as Fortrea’s Subject Matter Expert for cellular immune-oncology as well as CAR-T and gene therapy. He also serves as global lead project Physician on clients’ drug development projects.
Dr. Hamilton has more than 35 years of experience in pediatric medicine, immunology, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and clinical research and development. Before joining Fortrea, he served as Executive Medical Monitor for Chiltern International.
He has also held senior-level medical director, director physician, regulatory affairs and clinical research positions with Galena Biopharma, AstraZeneca, Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Wyeth Oncology, and other pharmaceutical and biotech firms. Dr. Hamilton joined our company in August 2018.

Jan Skoumal joined Fortrea in mid-2022 and has over 25 years of drug development experience specializing in immuno-oncology in pharma/biotech and CRO environments. He currently is in the operational executive leadership team for Cell and Gene Therapy in Oncology at Fortrea.
Jan is a pragmatic, innovative clinical development leader with over 10 years of experience in cell and gene therapy development, building and managing early-phase immuno-oncology portfolios and operationalising various protocols and programs (autologous/allogenic, hematologic/solid tumors, CAR-T/TCR/TIL, T-Cell engagers, and other cell constructs) that have resulted in four BLA submissions in the immuno-oncology space.
