Mike Barrera, Sr. Director Product Management, Rave Study Conduct and Platform Solutions, Medidata

Mike Barrera has 30 years of experience with clinical development software and operations within the life sciences space.

He is currently Senior Director, Product Management, with a focus on the Rave Study Conduct and Platform solutions. Mike has been with Medidata for 18 years, primarily working within the Solution Consulting group, and came from a similar position at Oracle, where he also developed strategies and presented study conduct software solutions to all sectors of the market.

Before that, Mike held various data management operational positions for large pharma, small and large biotechnology and CRO organizations—during which he has seen the evolution of technology platforms and processes within the industry over the past several decades to what is available today and beyond.

Samir Jain, Senior Director, EHR Solutions, Medidata

Samir Jain is a Senior Director of Product Management, responsible for building Medidata’s EHR Integration strategy and Site solutions. Samir has over 20 years of experience working with healthcare technologies and organizations. Samir started his career building EHRs, leading the interoperability and standards team at Allscripts.

He later spent time building large scale Health Information Exchanges, as well as leading Clinical Platform and Product strategy at Teladoc and RubiconMD. Samir has also held a seat on Carequality’s Steering Committee, contributing to the mission of nationwide interoperability.

At Medidata, Samir is focused on building scalable interoperability solutions that allow for quick, seamless and efficient integration into the vast healthcare and EHR ecosystems, enabling RWD, and improving the experience of participating in clinical trials for both sites as well as patients.
