Michael Cook, Chief Science Officer, Our Future Health
Michael Cook is the Chief Science Officer at Our Future Health, a UK-based not-for-profit organisation that aims to recruit 5 million UK-resident adults into a prospective cohort study. To date, 2.7 million participants have consented, 2 million have completed the baseline questionnaire, 1.6 million have been linked to electronic health records and 1.5 million have completed an in-person appointment to donate health metrics and blood, making Our Future Health the largest prospective cohort study with biobanked blood samples in the world. Michael provides senior and broad expertise in the molecular and epidemiological sciences and was previously a tenured Senior Investigator at the US National Cancer Institute, NIH.
