Natalie Strickland, Principal Scientist, Synexa Life Sciences
Natalie completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Stellenbosch in Human Genetics. Her PhD examined the genetic factors regulating iron metabolism using a combination of advanced molecular techniques and bioinformatics. Following her PhD, she completed a five-year postdoctoral research fellowship at the Institute for Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine (IDM) at the University of Cape Town specializing in infectious disease immunology with a special interest in cellular immunity to HIV/TB co-infection. She has extensive experience in both molecular and advanced immunological techniques, including multiparameter flow cytometry.
Natalie is based in Synexa’s Cape Town laboratory and oversees work in the development of complex flow cytometry and cell-based assays, translational ProtoTrials® and the research and development of new techniques in flow cytometry.Message Presenter
